A Paris Kind of Day

My friend Niki and I went to visit a pastry shop nearby our house in San Juan a few weeks ago. The pastry shop is named Patisserie Caroline. It is a small store located in DPL Building in M.Paterno.

Niki tried the turkey sandwich, while I tried the Baked Macaroni and Adobo Flakes with Tomatoes which are said to be their bestsellers.

After eating Adobo Flakes with Tomatoes, I still didn’t get satisfied, so I ordered a bunch of fries which I really enjoyed.

Oh wait, I didn’t get to finish the Baked Macaroni, so don’t worry guys, I’m not as voracious as you think. Haha!

And for dessert, we ordered Oreo Cheesecake and Calamansi Dacquoise which is also their bestseller.

I really loved the taste of the Calamansi Dacquoise! It isn’t too sweet and it isn’t to sour either – just the right amount of sweetness and sourness.

After our food adventure in Patisserie Caroline, we went to Ortigas to have our nails done at Lulu Nails and Dry Bar.

As you enter the nail salon, you will be asked to choose from a variety of nail polish displayed at the entrance.

All their chairs are La-Z-Boy, so you could sit comfortably as you watch Audrey Hepburn’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

The strawberry iced tea they serve is the ultimate perfect match to complete your pamper time.

Overall, I will rate Patisserie Caroline 3.5 out of 5 since I didn’t enjoy much their Adobo Flakes with Tomatoes. And a perfect 5 to Lulu Nails and Dry Bar for the great service. Happy customer here! 🙂

Ilocos Trip

Just a month ago, the boyfriend and I went for a vacation trip to Ilocos. We chose to go to Ilocos because we heard that there are so many beautiful places there to visit such as Pagudpud, Vigan and Laoag. Sadly, we weren’t able to go to Vigan due to lack of time.

We travelled from Manila to Laoag via Cebu Pacific Air. It only took us 45 minutes to get there. And from Laoag International Airport, we rode a tricycle to Playa Tropical Resort in Currimao. It took us another 45 minutes to get to the resort and it costs us 400 php for the tricycle ride.

The room is nice. It has chill and relaxing vibe.

Our next stop is at Pagudpud. We checked-in first at Kapuluan Vista Resort and then we went for a tour around the place.

Singapore: Land of the Merlion

Marina Bay Sands, Singapore

Last January, my friends, Gelo, Almond, Niki, and I went to Singapore for our pre-graduation trip via Cebu Pacific Air.

We arrived at Changi Airport at around 10 o’clock in the morning and then we headed straight to Resorts World Sentosa to check-in at Resorts World Festive Hotel for a 3-day/2-night stay. When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist told us that our room would still be available at 2 o’clock in the afternoon. And so, we decided to have our lunch first at Food Republic in Vivo City.

After we finished eating, we went for a walk around Vivo City.

It was a hot day!

And then we headed back to the hotel. This is how our room looks like..

Below: We saw these guys and girls singing at Mel’s Drive-in Diner. They are called the Daddy O’s and Mel’s Dinettes. While the guys in the third picture are the dancers we saw at the Palace. They are called The Rockafellas Street Boys. They were all good and they got lots of fans already!

Overall, we had an amazing stay in Singapore and we promised to go back soon, maybe after we all get a job!
